Every day, we appreciate how the work environment is changing. Demographics are shifting in the country and for the first time we have four generations in the workforce. The surge of millennials in the workplace pressures employers to provide different leadership on diversity and inclusion, taking a stance that “walks the talk” on the organization’s values and mission, commitments to diversity and inclusion, and transparency in the systems that touch employee performance, professional development, and compensation. For the new workforce, the black box that holds the secrets to individual career success and professional growth must be opened.

Differing from millennials are World War II and baby boomer workers who do not plan to retire and expect continued opportunity and career growth. These demands on organizational leaders come at a time when leadership deficit is high, employee engagement is low, and the time clock on diversity and inclusion success is running down. We’ll talk about five best practices to ready your diversity and inclusion strategy and programming for a changing workforce.
